Brother Peter Fitzpatrick
With sorrow in our hearts, the Fitzpatrick Family regrets to announce the passing of our beloved Peter Fitzpatrick. Peter died suddenly Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at his home in Bristol, RI of complications brought on by Covid. His warm heart and generous spirit will be deeply missed.
He was born and raised in Manchester and is the son of Isabelle Fitzpatrick and the late Paul G. Fitzpatrick. A devoted and loving son he leaves behind his mother, Isabelle, sister, Kathleen Carey and husband Charles, brother, Michael Fitzpatrick and wife Janice, sister, Maura Fitzpatrick and niece, Katie Archer and husband Dr. Michael Schwartz.
Peter was a graduate of Manchester Central High School and continued on to the University of New Hampshire. He came to adopt Bristol, RI as his home where he leaves behind a legacy of loyal friendships. Peter was a true sportsman. In his youth he mastered both tennis and football and lately one could find him on the golf course.
His career was centered around the healthcare industry where he became highly respected throughout RI. After leaving a long tenure at United Healthcare he worked as Director of Sales for WD & Associates where he continued to teach, mentor and nurture healthcare representatives.
He was an inspiring friend, mentor and partner to all of those fortunate enough to have worked with him. As one of his co-workers stated "We all feel a great sense of loss but at the same time lucky to have worked with such a gentleman and consummate professional; qualities that are rare to find in this world."
Anyone who knew Peter expected his signature loving bear hug. He had an infectious smile, a boisterous laugh, a quick witted sense of humor that lit up the darkest of rooms. He was truly one of a kind. He loved his family and friends but the warmest place in his heart was for his mother.
